About Able Theatre
What we do:
Through theatre activities and games, shows are developed that highlight the skills, interests, and ideas of troupe members.
We meet once a week for about 10 sessions, seasonally, until we are ready for our show (the grand finale!) which we present at the Orillia Opera House for family, friends, and the community at large.
Our workshops are led by a theatre facilitator and volunteers.
History:
Able Theatre was founded in February 2016 with the generous support of the Ontario Arts Council and in partnership with Christian Horizons (a support organization for people with developmental disabilities).
The company has performed on the Orillia Opera House main stage and before Ontario's Lieutenant Governor at the 2016 Huronia Arts Festival.
